Abstract:  Over the years Moscow police have responded to calls directing them to the University of Idaho Arboretum to investigate complaints of disturbing sounds, sounds like moaning, screaming and growling. The sound is human, yet inhuman, leading to how this came to be the only UI class to annually evoke a police response. The session will attempt to explain and explore this unique actor-training process. Will include student-animal discussion and demonstration.
