The Con Brio
Winds play a wide range of musical styles. "We design our
programs so that there is a little something for everyone," says the
bassoonist, Susan Hess. "In addition to traditionally classical pieces, we
program everything from ragtime to Henri Mancini's Pink Panther theme."
The name Con Brio ('with gusto' or
'spiritedly' in Italian) characterizes the spirit of our ensemble," states
Hess. "We approach music with passion and enthusiasm and enjoy sharing that
energy with our audiences."
The members of the group have played
throughout the United States and are presently based out of Moscow, Idaho.
The Con Brio Winds perform frequently in the Inland Northwest.
