Let me tell you a little bit about myself!

In addition to teaching bassoon, coaching chamber ensembles, and performing, I also am the Assistant Director of the Lionel Hampton School of Music.

I am very active as a performer. I normally perform on at least one recital each year, in addition to performing both orchestral and chamber music extensively (see below).

When not making reeds, I enjoy reading, hiking, road and mountain biking, and eating fine food with my husband Tom.

bullet Orchestral Performance - I am principal bassoonist of the the Walla Walla Symphony  I have been a member of many musical organizations, including the Boulder Bach Festival, Colorado Music Festival, Colorado MahlerFest, the Washington Idaho Symphony, and Ernest Bloch Music Festival. As a free lancer, I perform regularly with the Spokane Symphony, and have also performed with the Northwest Bach Festival, the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia, and with various other groups in the East Coast, Colorado, Wyoming and the Northwest.

bullet Summer Music Program for Adults - I teach, coach and perform at a wonderful summer music camp for adult amateurs in Walla Walla, Washington.
bullet Midsummer Musical Retreat

bullet Education - I earned my doctorate and bachelor's degrees from the University of Colorado and my master's degree from Florida State University.  My principal teachers have been William Winstead (principal bassoonist of Cincinnati Symphony), Robert Olson, John Wetherill (Indianapolis Symphony) and Ryohei Nakagawa (Tokyo Philharmonic).
