Oct 6: Reading Revisions
As I mentioned in class today, we are making some adjustments to the reading schedule for the class to accommodate our guest speaker on Thursday and to allow you to focus your attention on the Team project and your proposals due next week (Due Oct 15) .  We also made two other adjustments, based on our class discussion, to the course grading.  Here are the changes:

1. You are not responsible for week 8 readings until week 9.  By week 9, you should have completed the readings for both of those weeks.

2. I will automatically drop your lowest QWKPET score for this class, unless you let me know otherwise by Oct. 15.

3. Optional: If you request by Oct 15, and many of you did so on the sign-up sheet in class today, I will increase the total points possible for your first essay challenge from 20 to 30, with your actual grade reflecting the percentage you received on my initial grading of your essay.

4: Let me know if you have any questions about the above.

Briefly select and discuss THREE important or key themes or ideas from the Hardiman and Jackson reading, “Conceptual Foundations for Social Justice Courses.”  Help me understand that you read, thought about and understood the reading. I'll look for this and the centrality of the items you mention.
