challenge is due Oct. 30 in class and it will be worth 40 pts. You can
work alone, in pairs, or in groups of three for this challenge.
Sept. 16:
I have updated our course schedule to accommodate the discussion of
national events we had on Tuesday, please take some time to review.
I have also posted a sample quiz on the "Sample Quiz" page to
give you an idea of the form for Challenge #1, which will be an in-class
quiz, probably on Oct. 2.
Sept. 5:
Be sure to read and think carefully about the "Claiming Your Ed"
letter posted on this site. We may have an in-class writing
assignment concerning the letter on Sept. 11.
Aug. 31:
On the home page for this site, I have posted the name and contact information for our T.A. for this
class. The T.A., Aaron Denham, will do some of the grading in the
course, but, more importantly, he is another alternative for assistance
with questions or problems relating to the course.
Aug 29thB:
If you read your syllabus closely, you have discovered that in one place
it states that your "challenges" are worth 40 pts. and in
another place it states that they are worth 25 pts. This was not
intended to confuse you. The challenges are worth 40 pts.
each. Sorry for the mistake.
For those students enrolled in INTR101 (Freshmen Transition Seminar)
with Frankie Yockey: Your class has been moved from UCC 301 to UCC 305.
