In general, there has been a major increase in the number of individuals who identify their friends using alcohol over the past several years.

By grade 6, 12% of the students identify their friends or using alcohol. In grade 8, that percentage has increased to 30%.

In grade 10, that percentage has increased to 57%, and by grade 12, 70% of the students report their friends use alcohol

These percentages by region are highest in the state.

It is clear major interventions are needed in Region 7 to reduce alcohol consumption.
