In general, most data for the past several years has remained relatively constant with some minor exceptions.

In grades 6, 94% of students report their friends do not use cigarettes. However, by grade 8 only 71% report their friends do not use cigarettes

The grades 10 and 12 approximately 50% of the students report their friends use cigarettes.

This data indicate an additional interventions are needed in region six to reduce cigarette consumption.
