As we review the data for grades six through 12, there is a slight increase in approval for binge drinking between grades six and eight.  This change in approval significantly increases between grades eight and 10 and is maintained for grade 12.  However, while this approval during the last two years has increased in grade 10, there has been a slight decrease in approval for binge drinking in grade 12.  These trends in region four are encouraging and similar to state data.  However, it is clear that region four needs to increase interventions to change binge drinking attitudes beginning in the eighth grade.
