Region four has the second highest number of food stamp recipients in Idaho.  Further, between 2000 and 2005 there was a significant increase in the number of food stamp recipients.  Most of this increase occurred within ADA County, while the other counties within Region Four remained constant.  Interestingly, Boise County experienced a significant drop in the number of recipients in the last fiscal year.  There was also a 1000 person decrease in the number of recipients in ADA county during the last fiscal year.
