In general, Region Two has the fewest number of food stamp recipients within the state.  However, between 1998 and 2004 there was a steady increase in the number of food stamp recipients within most counties.  Since then there has been a slight decrease past in the number of recipients.  Within the region, Clearwater, and Latah County have the greatest number of food stamp recipients, while Lewis County has the fewest.
