As we review the data for grades six through 12, there is a marked increase in approval for binge drinking between grades six and eight.  This increase in approval significantly rises between grades eight and 10, and continues to increase between grades 10 and 12.  These trends are significantly higher than general state data.  Further, the large increase in grade 12 is approximately 10 to 11 percentage points higher between region one and state data.  It is clear that Region One needs to significantly increase interventions for binge drinking between grades eight and 10.  Further interventions for changing attitudes regarding binge drinking at earlier grades are also indicated.
