Since fiscal year 2000, the number of students reporting using marijuana has remained relatively constant.  However, there is 5% increase in the number of students who use marijuana between the sixth and eighth grades.  Further, there is a man additional 7% increase in the number of students who began DUs in the eighth grade.  It is highly recommended and prevention efforts at the eighth grade level the increased.
