Since fiscal year 2000, the number of students reported drinking hard liquor has remained relatively constant.  However, between grades six and eight there is a substantial increase in the number of students for drinking hard liquor at least some of the time.  This increase continues into grades 10 and 12.  However, and more importantly, there is a 5% increase in the number of students who are drinking hard liquor on a weekly basisin grade 10.  Further, one percent of  the students are drinking hard liquor on a daily basis.  It is highly recommended that more prevention efforts be implemented between grades six and eight and grades eight and 10 to reduce the percentage of students drinking hard liquor.
