Hepatitis

Overview:  Hepatitis is a liver disease that occurs for several reasons.  There are several subtypes.  One subtype of this disease occurs within the general population and is usually spread by poor sanitation and personal hygiene.  Other types can be spread by high-risk behaviors such as injection drug use. 

Goals:  This section provides you with an overview of Hepatitis transmission routes, prognosis, and treatment.  Furthermore, it should provide you with information regarding your personal protection.

Objectives:  Understand and describe the health and behavioral problems related to hepatitis. 

Outcomes:  To provide students with information related to the subtypes, symptomatology, progression, and treatment of Hepatitis.

Tasks:

1.      Read the information related to Hepatitis

 3.      Write a reaction paper regarding Hepatitis.  How could this disease impact you?  What can you do to reduce your risk of Hepatitis?  Send the paper to your instructor.
