Pandemic Flu.  This type of human flu usually causes a global outbreak (pandemic) of serious illness. This usually occurs because there is little natural immunity to the disease in the general population.  Consequently, the disease spreads easily from one person to another.  This type is what all of the disease experts are trying to prevent from occurring again.
The Pandemic Flu website contains numerous hyperlinks on this type of influenza.
