There may be times when training is not the answer to a
performance problem. It may be the case that the employee does not
engage in the behavior frequently enough and may have trouble remembering
all the steps. This is one situation where a job aid would be
appropriate. A job aid serves to help employees utilize their skills
and abilities by providing information and guiding them through the
appropriate steps.
This
lesson will discuss what job aids are and when they are useful.
