Self-report data is commonly used in training evaluation.
Self-report data is information that one provides about one’s attitudes and
feelings. For example, we would use self-report data to determine if a
training program on the benefits of diversity changed trainees’ attitudes
about diversity. However, self-report data can create some problems because
a change in the ratings one provides may not indicate true change. In this
module, we will discuss how changes in self-reports may not indicate true
change and ways to identify if this has occurred.
