There are a wide variety of ways to examine brain tissue structure and/or functioning. Many of these techniques can be used both on animals or humans. Note that many of these techniques are used throughout neuroscience and in medicine as well. Pay close attention to the different methodologies used in the field. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?
