Psyc 320 Schedule - Fall 2011

Dates for exams are absolute due dates, work may always be completed early. Further you should plan to do approximately a lesson and sometimes two lessons per week in order to meet the exam deadlines.

Due dates are considered "due by" not "do on."  I would highly recommend working with this in mind.  If you know that you will not be able to complete an assignment on that particular date, then you should complete the assignment earlier than that due date.  This course is self-paced and students often work ahead and can finish the course earlier if they are so motivated.

You will need to do the following to complete the course:

1. 6 quizzes (best 5 count for grade)

2. 6 CT papers (best 5 count for grade)

3. 1 (of 5 possible) personal reaction papers

4. PHRP Training course completion (START EARLY!!! It will take some time!)

5. 4 exams (best 3 count for grade)

*Some due dates will fall on a Friday, however you can also upload assignments by the following Sunday without penalty (i.e. PR due 9/16* or by 9/18).  Note the due dates are on a Friday, in order to not infringe upon anyone's religious observances by making assignments due on Saturday or Sunday.  However, non-Friday due dates will be enforced strictly.  In addition, the last exam MUST be done on Friday and no extension is possible.

You can complete assignments, quizzes, and exams any time prior to the deadlines. I strongly recommend staying two days ahead of the deadlines, since I do not permit (or even respond to) requests for make-up exams or make-up assignments for any reason. However, because unavoidable problems (e.g., power outages, medical emergencies) can happen, I will use only your best 3 exams, 5 quizzes, and 5 critical thinking assignments in computing your final grade. (Basically, this is the deal: I let you miss 1 quiz, 1 exam, and 1 critical thinking assignment before it starts to impact your grade, and in return you do not ask me to re-open assignments for you.)
