Emotion & Affect
Overview:

In this lesson we will be covering social psychological research on emotion and affect.  Specifically, how emotion is informative to others as well as the self.  In addition, how our social world and culture shape our emotional displays.  We'll also explore the causal links between situations and emotions.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this lesson you should be able to explain how emotions impact others and how in turn emotions are impacted by situations.  Further, you should have a firm understanding of the ways in which evolutionary theory has explained our use of emotions.  You should also understand the role the body plays in emotion.

There is currently no audio lecture for this lesson.  The nature of the assignment is such that you should do fine by reading the relevant text and then reviewing the slides to the right to be certain that you understand the material.
