Required Text
Abnormal Psychology:  The Problem of Maladaptive Behavior, Eleventh Edition.  (2002). By Sarason, I.G., and Sarason, B.R.  Prentice Hall Publishers   ISBN  0-13-118111-4  Blue and yellow cover

Grading Requirements
There will be three exams in this course. Each exam will consist of multiple choice questions and will cover material only for that section.

Exam Format
All exams are in BlackBoard.  They will be open book and open note.  However, all of the questions and answers are randomly selected.  Thus, the exam you take might have different questions from the one your friend takes.  You will also have about 80 minutes for each exam.  Thus, you must know the material fairly well or you will run out of time.  Do not rely on your book or notes to take this exam.  Think of it as a regular exam you would take in a live class.

YOU SHOULD MAKE SURE YOU CAN USE BLACKBOARD AT THE LOCATION WHERE YOU WILL TAKE THE EXAM BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO TAKE IT.  That is, the computer should be enrolled, have a vandal account, Internet Explorer and have a good Internet connection.  If you have problems contact the help desk at 885-2725.

Grading
Midterm grades will be based on the number of points earned on the first exam. Final grades will be based on all the exams and any extra credit points I may give. Grades will be based on the following scale. However, I may also curve the class scores. Whichever is higher is what you will receive. Note: I also reserve the right to add small assignments to course as we go long. Don't stress, they will be due at the end of the semester. Extra credit will be provided after the first exam and will be due at the start of finals week.

Greater than 89.9% = A
Greater than 79.9% = B
Greater than 69.9% = C
Greater than 65.9% = D

CHEATING / Plagiarism
If you cheat or plagiarize in this class and are caught, you will receive and “F” for the course. In addition, your name will be given to the University Judiciary Committee for additional sanctions. DON’T CONSIDER CHEATING IN THIS CLASS.
