Courses recently taught: Intergovernmental Relations, Community Planning, Local Government Politics and Administration, American State and Local Government Areas of academic interest: Local government, public policy, water governance, empirical network analysis, quantitative methods, collaborative management and policy, intergovernmental relations, local finance, and self-organizing community Biography: Besides his academic and professional accomplishments, Dr. Shrestha also brings experiences working in government. He served Government of Nepal as a senior administrator in developing and managing local governance programs aimed at improving the capacity of communities and local institutions for self-organizing development. His current research focuses on local public service delivery, inter-local collaboration, and role of self-organizing networks in community water governance in Nepal. He is a recipient of NASPAA (The National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration) Annual PhD Dissertation Award for the year 2008 for his significant research in the field of public affairs and public administration.
