J
amie Nekich has been a licensed psychologist in Idaho for ten years.  She graduated from Stanford University and completed clinical residencies in the Yale Medical School/ West Haven VA Medical Center and at the Stanford University Student Counseling Center. 
 

She spent two years at University of California - Berkeley as a postdoctoral fellow specializing and child and family psychology.   In addition, she was affiliated with the University of Washington Parenting Clinic where she was trained as a consultant for parents and school personnel in providing support for children with behavior disorders.

 

For the last several years she has been receiving training in Jungian Psychology and the meditation techniques of Jon Kabat-Zinn and the use of guided imagination, dream, and mindfulness as a means for personal growth and emotion regulation.  Identification of personal strengths, strengthening relationships, emotional insight, and practical problem-solving are also key components to her therapeutic approach.
