Conference and Expo Self Evaluation

TURN IN WITH FINAL PAPER

Answer the following in a brief essay. Answers should be typed, edited for correctness etc., and the entire evaluation will likely run two to four pages, double spaced; feel free to write more than that, but not to write less.

Project Evaluation:

What is the strongest element of your display? What do you think most viewers will be most impressed with or interested in etc?

What is the weakest element of your display? What do you think didn't work as planned and why? Would you eliminate this portion of a similar display or change/improve it, and how?

In terms of working with groups, what did you learn from completing this project, both about yourself and how you function differently in a group compared to when you work alone and how group dynamic effects the working process and the overall finished product?  Did working in a group improve or limit the quality of work you normally produce? If you had tackled this project 100% alone, do you think it would have been: better/worse, easier/harder, more/less time?

Group Member Evaluation and Grades:

What was the strongest element of your group process; as a group, what did you guys do well together? What made it possible for you to work well as a team? Were all the members of the team responsible for this success (name who was and wasn't)?

What was the weakest element of your group process; as a group, what did you guys need to do differently? What made it difficult for you to work well as a team? Were all the members of the team responsible for this problem (name who was and wasn't)?

Which member (s) of your group contributed the most time to the project and other group work? Explain specifically what he or she did: refer to specific projects, duties etc.

Which member (s) of your group contributed the least time to the project and other group work?

Assign each group member -- including yourself -- a group-projects grade. This grade must be objective and based on your written evaluation above: who contributed the most and least time, energy, effort, input etc. Note that grades are by nature competitive: if you say everyone contributed the same amount, and you assign everyone an "A", I will likely translate that into giving everyone a "C". Do not base your grading on feelings; base it entirely on contribution to the group's various projects and tasks.

Self Evaluation:

Are you happy with your own contribution to the project? What did you, personally, do well? What would you do differently next time?

In terms of monstrosity, what did you learn from completing this project?
