Required Textbooks:

Luschnig, Introduction to Ancient Greek (get a recycled copy if you can)

Study guide for 341 (Stg.)

If you are taking the lab (349) which you should take (if you want to, need the credit or learn better aurally): there is a workbook at the bookstore and 15 tapes in the lab.

Watch for the the NEW GREEK page.

Grading: grades will be based on performance in class (attendance is required but is not sufficient; it should be accompanied by preparation of the assignment and attentiveness: otherwise they call it "seat time" in the trade), homework assignments to be turned in on time and quizzes and tests. Whether you are present or not, the material has to be learned. In-class tests will be accompanied by a take-home. The readings in Greek are important. Try to do them; if not all, then at least four or five every day. By reading the Greek you get to put everything together.

If you need help, there are practicum students.
