Kathryn Paxton George
Dr. George received her interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Genetics and Philosophy from Washington State University in 1985. Since that time, she has lectured widely and taught a variety of courses on ethics in science and technology, philosophy of science, and philosophy of biology. In addition to her appointment in the Department of Philosophy, she is a member of the faculty of Environmental Sciences and the faculty of Women's Studies. She is the author of many articles in journals in the area of applied ethics. In addition, she has authored two textbooks and a scholarly book, Animal, Vegetable, or Woman? A Feminist Critique of Ethical Vegetarianism. |
