Ken has conducted research on a variety of topics at the intersection of personality, social, and clinical psychology, including (a) the utility of interpersonal circumplex models for predicting and understanding interpersonal interactions and interpersonal problems, (b) how social comparisons shape our experience of solidarity and status relative to others, (c) the complexity of thinking about the self and others, and (d) effects of cross-cultural differences in response styles. Ken is Past-President of the Society for Interpersonal Theory and Research. He is also a member of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Personality and Social Psychology.
