
Carlos Armesto holds BS Degrees in Theatre Arts & Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.F.A. degree in directing from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. He has worked as a director for the Williamstown Theatre Festival, the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut, and is currently the Associate Artistic Director for New York's Ensemble Studio Theatre, where he coordinates EST's alliance with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation to produce science-inspired plays. He is the recipient of numerous awards for his work in theatre, most notably the Princess Grace Award in 2005.
