Arts Scholarships
The department awards several scholarships to currently enrolled
theatre undergraduate students on competitive basis. Factors considered
in the selection process include cumulative GPA, commitment to
theatre and financial need. An application is required.
In addition, the department awards several scholarships to incoming
freshman using similar criteria and the same scholarship application
form. Audition (and design portfolio reviews) for these scholarships
are scheduled during Freshman Theatre Weekend on March 7-8, 2003.
In addition, the University of Idaho awards many other scholarships
through its Office of Financial Aid.
A limited number of teaching assistantships are awarded each
year to graduate students who teach Introduction to Theatre as
well as Public Speaking courses for the Department of Communication.
