The Department of Theatre & Film is committed to providing the Northwest’s most affordable and competitive undergraduate and graduate training in the areas of acting, directing, dramatic writing, design and technology, and film. We are dedicated to promoting a learning environment rich in cultural diversity and encourage the creative and intellectual participation of all individuals. Through our carefully designed curriculum -- combining group learning within a nurturing classroom environment which encourages self-discovery and personal responsibility, individualized mentoring with a dedicated faculty of scholars and professional theatre artists, and a broad variety of practical hands-on production opportunities -- we strive to challenge and inspire our students to become the most dynamic and innovative practitioners and arts leaders of the future.
