The Inland Northwest Philosophy Conference invites you to the campuses of the University of Idaho and Washington State University for its ninth annual meeting. The topic of the 2006 INPC is Action Ethics and Responsibility. The conference will convene at 9:00 am on Friday, March 31, and sessions will run through early afternoon on Sunday, April 2.

The Keynote Address will be delivered by Frances Kamm, Professor of Philosophy at Harvard University on Saturday evening, March 31. 

With the exception of some of the special sessions, paper sessions run 70 minutes. Sessions with commentators are broken down as follows: 30-40 minutes for presentation, 10 minutes for commentary, and 20-30 minutes for discussion.

Option I
includes lunch and dinner on Saturday and access to meeting rooms for conference sessions, 2 continental breakfasts, 1 lunch, 1 dinner, and coffee all 3 days. Option I may not be available after March 15.

Option II provides the participant with access to conference sessions, 2 continental breakfasts, and coffee all 3 days. Dates are postmark deadlines. People who register and then cancel will be charged a $15 processing fee.The conference will begin on Friday, April 1 at 9:00 a.m. and end on Sunday, April 3 at 1:30 p.m. Please plan your travel around these times.

Travel:
Flights come to Pullman/Moscow Airport on Horizon Airlines (1.800.547.9308) Via Seattle. We can arrange to have you picked-up at the Pullman/Moscow Airport if you e-mail Harry your arrival time (silverst@wsu.edu). Other airports within a short drive from Pullman and Moscow are:

(LWS) Lewiston Airport, ID-30 miles south.
(GEG) Spokane Airport, WA-90 miles north.

You can call Wheatland Express (1.800.215.6386) or Always (1.866.215.6386) for transportation information to and from these airports. If you have any difficulties securing transportation to the conference, please contact us.

*There will be a shuttle bus service available to pick people up and take them to the conference sessions.

Parking:
Visitor parking permits will be provided for parking on the Washington State University campus for Friday and Saturday. No parking permit will be needed at the University of Idaho on Sunday. Visitor permits are valid in Green, Yellow, Red, Blue, and Visitor zones at Washington State University.

In order to obtain your permit, please stop at the WSU Visitor Center in downtown Pullman. The Visitor Center hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:30pm. The Visitor Center website is: <http://www.wsu.edu/visitor/>. For instructions on how to get to the Visitor Center, click the "HOW TO GET TO THE VISITOR CENTER (MAP)" link; for a parking map, click the "CAMPUS PARKING MAP" link.

The WSU Visitor Center will supply you with your parking permit, a campus map, and directions to both the Compton Union Building (CUB) -- where most of the conference sessions will be held -- and the parking zones closest thereto. If you have any questions regarding parking or need special
assistance with parking, please call the WSU Visitor Center at 509-335-8633.

Close, central campus parking is also available in the Smith Center parking garage, located on Stadium Way. Parking in the Smith Center garage is not covered by the conference and is the responsibility of the conference attendees. The garage rate on Friday is $1.75 per hour with a $12 maximum. The garage rate on Saturday is $2 for all day.
