The first UI College of Letters & Science Learning For Life Colloquia will be held on the weekend of March 24-26 on the UI campus, in conjunction with the 3rd annual Inland Northwest Philosophy Conference. The topic of the conference, Truth and Meaning, will also be the focus of the Colloquium. The Colloquium has been designed with the interested lay person in mind. If you are interested in questions about truth and meaning, wherever they apply, then you will find something to intrigue you during this weekend. In addition to overlapping events, such as the Public Forum on Friday night and the Keynote Address on Saturday night, the Colloquium will include special workshops on philosophy and on truth and meaning, as well as a special Sunday morning performance and discussion of, "A Thing of Beauty," a one-act play directed by Pam Palmer and produced by the UI Theatre Arts Department.
