Saying, Implicating, and Cancelling

I defend a version of the claim that if a proposition is cancelable with respect to an utterance, then it is not part of what-was-said by that utterance. I respond to objections against the underlying notion of cancelability from Crimmins, Sperber and Wilson. I then use cancelability to defend Grice's so-called minimalism.
