Intro to the Course
What are trauma, historical trauma and the American holocaust?

Trauma  1. A serious injury or shock to the body, as from violence or an accident; 2. An emotional wound or shock that creates substantial lasting damage to the psychological development of a person.

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder  A psychological disorder of individuals who have experienced profound trauma, such as torture, marked by recurrent flashbacks, nightmares, eating disorders, anxiety, fatigue, forgetfulness, and withdrawal.
