The goal of this course is to prepare students in science, engineering, and technology majors to meet the needs of professional communication they will encounter in the workplace.  Although the course is designed with these majors in mind, it is open to all students willing to work within their level of technical expertise on subjects in their major field of study.

During the course, students will learn about technical writing genres, study the rhetoric of technical writing, and gain skills in practicing persuasive strategies for addressing workplace writing situations.
