1. Imitation of Elizabeth Alexander’s “Nineteen.”
2. Imitation of the form and style (and of Fairchild’s style and poetic
techniques in general) of any poem in The
Art of the Lathe.
3. Love poem – (think fresh, think
original--no clichés!). Original form
or may imitate one assigned.
4. History-based poem with particular attention to point of view. Freebie form.
5. Siken-inspired poem.
6. Slant rhyme poem, at least 12 lines in any pattern of rhyme, freebie content.
7. Combination form poem--imabic tercets plus couplets used in a
pattern--freebie content.
8. Freebie.
