Write a short query letter/email that covers these points:

Market and Motivation:

n  What is your proposed article about?

n  Who is your audience for the final article? Who will want to read this?

n  Why will they want to read your article?

n  What is your main point?

n  Why is the article is timely, useful, relevant?

n How long will the article be?

Topics you plan to cover

n  List specific topics you plan to cover

n  Point out any key features you plan to present.

List graphics (maps, photos, figures. . . .)

 Discuss the style you plan to develop

Mention if you have a side bar with contact/how to information

 Research Methods

n  How will you gather details?
