Proposal Argumentation/Logic

 

I.                   Argument of Fact

A.               Show the problem exits.

                    Ask/answer: who, what when, where, why, how

B.               Judge the problem.

How severe is it?  Does it really need to be solved?  Why?

C.               Define the problem. What kind of problem is it?  
        management? supply? design? environmental? lack of knowledge?

 

II.                Argument of Policy (Solution)

A.               What do you plan to accomplish (objectives)?

B.               How will accomplishing these goals solve the problem?  Will they solve it?

C.               Is your solution advantageous, cost effective, expedient, feasible?

                    D.    How will you create the solution (methods)?

 

III.             Demonstration of Professionalism—Argument of Character

A.               Work schedule

B.               Cost/budget

C.               Credentials—show you can complete this work

  —show you have done similar work successfully
