CONTENT:

Title--make it clear and descriptive.  Call it a proposal

Summary--keep it short (100 wds).  Focus on the main points

 

Background--show the existence /importance of the general problem. Introduce key terms

            Use sources

 Project Problem Statement--state a specific project problem you will solve
        (audience + need)
        Use the research question.   

Objectives--list your specific project goals/outline what you expect to accomplish
        For this class, your final report is a main objective.
        Use a transition to connect with the project problem

 Scope  (use as needed)

 Methods--list the steps you will take to create your goals/objectives
        Connect with objectives

 Time schedule--use a bar graph

 Budget--account for your time and costs

 Facilities--needed if you use special university facilities

 Credentials/Personnel--list qualifications and courses taken
        List other team members

  Conclusion--persuade by emphasizing the project's need and feasibility

 

Audience--aim the proposal at a specific audience

 

ORGANIZATION:

Headings--make them work

 Paragraphs--use topic sentences

      --introduce sections (transitions)

 SENTENCE STYLE:

End punctuation
