Proposal Credentials

Write a paragraph explaining the expertise you have that qualifies you to complete your methods and produce your objects.

Sometimes, team members working on a proposal have a subheading stating each individual’s name and then a list of qualification. Often, when you submit a proposal, you will include a short (one page) résumé for each team member in the proposal’s appendix.

Criteria:

  1. Detail any experience you have that qualifies you to complete the proposed project
  2. Detail current work and support that will enable you to complete the proposed project.
  3. Use “I” or “we” here, as appropriate. Definitely avoid passive
  4. Add analysis: show / explain why your experience will help with the project.

Ideas to include in this section:

bullet

List courses relevant to the project topic that you have taken.

bullet

List work experience relevant to the project.

bullet

Explain if you are doing this for another course, senior thesis, internship….

bullet

List other people involved (team members, professors who are helping…).

Use this section to add credibility and show feasibility of the project.  Remember, you are arguing that you have the skills to complete your proposed project.
