In the course, you will spend the semester researching and writing a magazine article--the course project--on a topic you choose.

You'll learn how to write using creative nonfiction.  You'll also learn how to write a proposal and other types of documents.

¶If you don't care about environmental issues or if you don't want to spend the semester learning and writing about an environmental issue, do not take this course.

++ Depending on your major, you can fulfill your department's requirement for English 317, technical writing. This course meets the Core Communications requirement.
