I am married to Ken Berger who is currently working on a Ph.D. in Zoology at University of Idaho. In Arizona he worked with bald eagles and spotted owls. In Idaho he worked on a study investigating the effect of different logging practices on small mammals and thus on boreal and saw whet owl populations. While we were in Pennsylvania, he worked for Glen Holbrook at Penn State University doing urban entomology studies (cockroaches, carpenter ants, etc.) I have a 10 year old son Isaac (picture) who loves to read, play, camp, and do math. His favorite books right now include The Guardians of GaHoule and the Redwall series. Here is something he created in powerpoint. I am in the process of refining my research question and writing my research proposal. I like to hike (I haven't had much time to however), spend time with my family, and read. |
