The Nez Perce Field Trip Journal

Your field trip journal should be 2-3 pages double-spaced, divided into three sections as laid out below.  Put the usual heading on the first page, single-spaced.  This is the third of the “four short written assignments” that are collectively worth 30% of your final grade.

                Prior to learning about this conflict, what has been your exposure to information about interactions between Euro-Americans and native people?

When you were reading Jerome Greene’s chapter, what aspects of the story struck you?

What differences do you note between Greene’s work, the film,  and the Nez Perce website about the Big Hole Battle?
