  INTERDISCIPLINARY PROGRAMS
 
AMERICAN STUDIES

The American Studies Program at the University of Idaho is an interdisciplinary program offering both a BA degree and a minor. Those majoring in American Studies have a choice of three emphases: literature, history and social science. The University of Idaho does not offer graduate programs in American Studies at this time. For information regarding American Studies graduate programs please visit the American Studies Association Guide to Graduate Programs.

Curricular Requirements
AMERICAN STUDIES (B.A.)
Required course work includes the university requirements (see regulation J-3), general L&S requirements for the B.A. degree, and:
1. Nine credits in courses offered specifically for students in the American Studies program, including AmSt 301, Interpreting America (normally, one course each semester will be offered--see adviser); and
2. Completion of one of the following major areas of emphasis:
