This week you will:

Start working on the proposal for your research project for the semester.

Writing proposals is difficult work. You will write the proposal in increments. Therefore, you will write a rough draft of individual sections of the proposal and submit those drafts to me by email. (I may also ask you to post them on the threaded discussion.)

So, this week, you will complete two main tasks—read information about proposals and write the rough draft of the objective section. You will:

1. Read about proposals (and complete some other exercises concerning proposals)
   1. Read the request for proposals (RFP).
   2. Read the information on writing proposals:
      1. What is a proposal?
      2. How do we persuade?
      3. Persuasion in a proposal?
      4. Proposal Audience
      5. Proposal Outline
      6. Proposal Structure
      7. Proposal Samples
2. Take the short quiz on proposals
3. Write and submit a rough draft of your objectives section for the proposal.
