Getting Started on the Semester Project
In this lesson we will get started on the semester’s project. To do this you will submit an initial proposal that explains very briefly what you plan to do for your semester project. I need to be sure that the project you plan to propose:

  1. is feasible
  2. appropriate for this class
  3. and that you have the expertise to complete the project in the next 10 weeks.

Note: You may not proceed with the project until you get an email from me telling you that your project looks like it will work.

To the left you will find three links:
The report description and report samples serve as resources. If you haven’t done so already, you should read the description of the final report document very thoroughly. It is provided below for your convenience. Review the information on e-mailing for professional hints. Of course, if you have any questions about this, be sure to email (thompson@uidaho.edu) me. The last link, Assignment 3 describes how you will need to prepare the initial proposal assignment that you need to complete for this lesson.
