Instructions:
 
Step 1: Finish the section of the final report and get it ready to turn in as a final draft.
Step 2: Write the short introductory memo for the section.
Step 3: Complete the style check
Step 4: Based on the style check results, revise one paragraph.

 

Assignment: Final Draft of the section of the final report

Grade: A- 0
Points: 10

Before you submit the final draft for a grade you need to

  1. Check to make sure you met all the criteria.
  2. Respond to the following Introductory Memo: Section of the final report

Introductory Memo: Section of the final report

  1. Write this as a memo/email message.
  2. Send this to me as the email that introduces your "section of the final report" assignment to me.  Attach the "section of the final report" assignment to this memo.
  3. Use this memo to remind me about
    1. what your project deals with,
    2. what kind of information will appear before this section, and
      how this section relates to your proposed objectives.
  4. Answer these questions:
    1. What is this section about? What objective(s) from your proposal do you cover?
    2. Where will this fit in the final report?
      1. What comes before it?
      2. What comes after it?
    3. Who is your audience for the section?
    4. What kinds of terms do you expect your reader to know? Were they defined in the background section of your proposal?
    5. What kinds of information do you expect your readers to know after reading this section?
    6. What percentage of the final report does this represent?

NOTES:

  1. Turn this in this memo as an email to me when you send the final draft of the "section of the final report." So, attach your "section of the final report" as a Word doc to this memo.
  2. I’ll inform you about whether or not I need to see your sources for the section.
