Overview: Introductory Letter
Instructions:

In this lesson, you will write a letter of introduction. To the left you will find a series of learning resources you will need to complete this Lesson. Your assignment is detailed in the last link Assignment 1.

Before you email me your letter, you need to revise it for sentence style based on the ideas presented in the learning resources on the left.

Note: there are three main goals here

  1. Introduce yourself to me (I need to know who my audience is and see what your writing is like.)
  2. Give you practice writing (I want you to start writing and start considering some basic points of punctuation).
  3. Give you a chance to see what writing to me is like in a fairly formal setting. Since this assignment is just graded √ or 0, you don’t need to make this perfect, but do the best you can in a short amount of time (1 hour maximum).

Note:  I may ask you to do this over if there are lots of style errors in this.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me at thompson@uidaho.edu.
